According to sources, Vince McMahon is targeting a 2020 return for the XFL football league. Vince is planning for 2020 because he wants to give it time to build a proper infrastructure. Of course, this would include the hiring of coaches, players, referees and more. The original league was launched within a year of its official announcement.
Multiple sources are reporting that WWE’s production team is already working on video content that will promote the XFL’s planned launch. There is expected to be a massive advertising campaign in late 2018 and all of 2019.
As previously reported here on eWn, McMahon founded Alpha Entertainment late last year in order to “explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football.”
