According to a report from PWInsider, there were a massive number of changes to SmackDown last night at the behest of Vince McMahon.
For starters, it is said the original main event planned was Kofi Kingston vs Andrade, but it was switched to Daniel Bryan and Rowan against The New Day. Speaking of Bryan, all mentions of his career-altering announcement storyline have been dropped reportedly.
Daniel Bryan is said to be going full force into a storyline against Roman Reigns, per the reveal from Buddy Murphy last night. Bryan versus Roman was originally set to be featured at this Sunday’s SummerSlam, but plans have changed and it has been moved to the Fall following the event.
