It was noted during last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite that, due to the NBA Playoffs, they weren’t sure when they’d be airing on TNT next week. However, Tony Khan announced that there will be a special one-hour episode following the NBA Playoffs next Wednesday, followed by a regular episode of AEW Dynamite on Thursday.
Per Wrestling Observer Radio, this is indeed the plan, but it isn’t expected that any of the matches announced last night will take place on the one-hour show. The plan is to tape the one-hour episode today. If there is an NBA game next Wednesday, the plan is to air the one-hour special after the game and after the Inside The NBA special. Then, they would air in the usual 8-10 p.m. ET timeslot on Thursday. If there isn’t an NBA game on Wednesday, the one-hour special will air on Tuesday, with the regular episode keeping it’s standard Wednesday timeslot.
