During the main event of SmackDown this past Tuesday, Drew McIntyre just about disappeared following a commercial break.
McIntyre was competing in a six-man tag alongside Sheamus and Cesaro to take on The New Day.
According to Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, this was done to preserve the credibility of McIntyre. WWE reportedly did not want them seeing McIntyre losing another bout, after losing so definitively to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
McIntyre was on loan from Raw this week but after competing on Smackdown and not even being seen on Monday Night Raw this past Monday, it’s going to be interesting to see where McIntyre lands after the Superstar Shake-up next week.
