According to a report from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, has a number of independent dates signed already and will begin working in June if not beforehand.
Obviously, Moxley is going to have a tremendous amount of control over his bookings and financial gain in these kinds of bookings.
Meltzer remained leery about the strong exit WWE gave their former WWE Champion, suggesting that perhaps they wouldn’t have given him a strong exit like this had they felt that All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro-Wrestling were likely destinations for Jon.
It will be interesting to see where Jon Moxley turns up, so far it’s apparent that he is getting the creative freedom that was such a reported factor in him wanting to leave WWE.
