On today of all days, (6/19), Rey Mysterio himself announced at a Lucha Central press conference that he is in talks with WWE about a return. He did not mention any specifics about his talks with WWE except that the contract will last 3 years.
Rumor has it that Mysterio will want to work a part-time schedule and whether or not he signs with the company will be based on WWE’s response to that request. Given that Mysterio’s last appearance with the WWE at the GRR event proved that he is still over, I couldn’t imagine WWE turning down this offer.
