During a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Rey Mysterio revealed why he missed WrestleMania 36.
Mysterio also appeared on Fox Sports MX and confirmed that he was in self-quarantine. Mysterio says he told WWE officials he wasn’t feeling well when they started taping content at the Performance Center. According to Rey, WWE’s medical staff made the call to have him stay home. As of now, Mysterio is showing no signs or symptoms of the coronavirus.
Mysterio vs. Andrade for the United States Championship was originally planned for WrestleMania 36. With Mysterio out of action and Andrade suffering a rib injury, WWE went with Angel Garza and Austin Theory vs. The Street Profits for the RAW Tag-Team Championships instead.
