Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair continues his road to recovery following his emergency hospitalization this past August. He was taken to the hospital by his fiancee after complaining about stomach pains, and hours later it was revealed that he was in the early stages of kidney failure. Flair was put on life support days later and was given a 20 percent chance at survival at one point. Of course now as we all know, Flair has seemed to recover well and is back at home resting.
He recently joined The Dan Le Batard Show and admitted that his heavy drinking history was a huge contributing factor to nearly losing his life:
“I just drank too much,” Flair admitted.
“The Nature Boy” claimed to have done the math and revealed the ridiculous amount of alcohol he would consume on a daily basis:
“I’ve done all my math, [I was drinking] between 3,700 and 4,000 calories worth of booze — soda, splash of cranberry — in my body every day,” Flair revealed. “Like 20 drinks a day.”
Also, in a recent interview with People Magazine, Flair stated that he will never drink alcohol again:
“I’ll never drink again,” says Flair. “I never want to go through this again.”
