16-time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair has said that Bray Wyatt should have debuted for AEW last week, instead of Keith Lee.

Lee, a former WWE NXT Champion, debuted on the February 9th Dynamite, defeating Isiah Kassidy to qualify for the Face of the Revolution Ladder match at next month’s AEW Revolution event.

Speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Flair made the argument that Bray Wyatt would’ve been a much bigger surprise had he appeared on TV rather than the Limitless One:

“WWE really never understood what to do with Keith Lee’s character. They came out of the gate strong with him. And yeah, I actually think they went back and forth a couple of times trying to work things out with him. I have no idea what really happened. Honestly not taking anything away from Keith Lee, but a big surprise to me would have been Bray Wyatt.”

Wyatt was released in June 2021 despite being massively popular with fans, who responded to his departure with ‘We Want Wyatt’ chants during episodes of Monday Night RAW. Wyatt is a free agent, but has not competed for any promotion since his release from WWE.
