WWE SmackDown Superstar Ridge Holland is concerned that he will have a “stigma” following Big E’s injury earlier this year.
In March, Big E suffered a broken neck when taking a suplex outside of the ring by Holland, and the former WWE Champion hasn’t wrestled since.
While speaking with Metro, Holland reflected on the spot that caused the injury.
“It was a massive knock to my confidence. The main thing is that E’s functional, he’s OK, he’s gonna live a full life.
“From a personal standpoint, I’d like to get in the ring more and show people what I can do because there is a stigma there with the Big E thing. So, I wanna show people what I can do and how good I can be, and wash that stain off my back.”
Holland was one of the first people to visit Big E after the accident and it’s said that the pair are completely fine with each other.
Butch, who was present at SmackDown during the incident, has said he had to console Holland after what happened.
