Rob Gronkowski is headed back to the NFL despite being under contract with the WWE.
The New England Patriots traded Gronk to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after he requested the team to do so to reunite former Patriots quarterback and good friend Tom Brady. Gronk retired from pro football last year.
It appears that this will put his run in WWE on hold but since the news was just broken, there’s no word yet. He’s currently the 24/7 Champion.
