ROH Champ Says Possible WWE Run Is On His Bucket List

Current Ring Of Honor (ROH) World Television Champion Jeff Cobb was recently a guest on WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross’ podcast, “The Ross Report.” During the show, Cobb was asked about possibly going to WWE. Cobb said that he’d be lying if he said he didn’t have any interest in working for the company that made him fall in love with professional wrestling.

He noted a possible WWE run is “definitely” on his bucket list:

“I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to go there,” Cobb said. “I’ll date myself, but WWF is the reason why I fell in love with pro wrestling, so I’d be a liar if I’d said, ‘no, I never want to go there.’

“I would love to go there. Again, like, that’s the ultimate test right there. And, I think, again, getting out of the comfort zone, going to a huge global company like that would definitely be on my bucket list.”

WWE recently signed a former ROH World Television Champion in Punishment Martinez, who dropped the ROH World TV Title to Cobb just a month ago. The match barely aired only two weeks ago. Martinez could have a big role with WWE NXT moving forward in the coming months.

In regards to Cobb, there are a few WWE names he’d like to share the ring with in a potential move to the professional wrestling juggernaut:

“I would definitely love to wrestle with Samoa Joe. I think that would be a fun time. I get that comparison a lot on the independents. I would also love to wrestle Cesaro. I think he’s super talented. He’s just really good and I would love to have that match with him.”
