ROH Honor Reigns Supreme will be held on January 13th and it is the first major ROH event of 2018. The card already features the first match as a team for Villain Enterprises, as well as the Ring of Honor debut of Bandido.

Now, two more matches have been added to the event. One featuring Flip Gordon facing Tracy Williams, as well as a tag team match featuring Best Friends meeting the tandem of Juice and David Finlay. The following is from ROHWrestling.com:

FLIP GORDON vs. “HOT SAUCE” TRACY WILLIAMS

In his first time in HonorClub competition since Final Battle, Flip Gordon heads to Concord to take on “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams at Honor Reigns Supreme! Known for his aerial maneuvers, Gordon showed a killer instinct previously unseen to make Bully Ray quit!

With a ROH World Championship shot in hand following Gordon’s Sea of Honor Tournament win, winning an I Quit match against Bully Ray at Final Battle, and pinning former ROH World Champion Cody in an HonorClub Exclusive, Gordon is on top of the world.

But that can all come crashing down in Concord! “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams makes his HonorClub return following his debut at Survival of the Fittest and is looking to pick up a big victory. Williams is a submission expert who wrestles a Pure wrestling style, looking to catch an opponent’s exposed body part and inflict damage.

Williams will be looking for a statement win while Gordon looks to continue his roll. Who will pick up the victory in this first-time one-on-one match?

JUICE ROBINSON & DAVID FINLAY vs. BEST FRIENDS

Juice Robinson and David Finlay went 8-5 in the New Japan World Tag League, picking up big wins against EVIL and SANADA, ROH World TV Champion Jeff Cobb and former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin, TenCozy, and more! One of their biggest victories came against the team of Beretta and Chuckie T., Best Friends!

Best Friends have been on an undeniable roll since Beretta returned to action following torn pectoral and bicep muscles. They started by beating Bully Ray and Silas Young and continued their roll with wins against the current World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes and Cody and Adam Page in a Triple Threat match in the main event of Global Wars: Buffalo. Most recently, Best Friends won a Triple Threat HonorClub exclusive that helped solidify their case for ROH World Tag Team Championship contention and finished World Tag League with their own winning record.

Best Friends head to Concord looking to pick up a victory against a team that holds a victory over them in David Finlay’s official US ROH debut! Finlay is a fourth generation star who has emerged a star in New Japan following his emersion in their rigorous Dojo system. He has competed for and nearly won the IWGP United States Championship in 2018 and the sky is the limit in 2019! He teams with Juice Robinson who has vowed to take ROH by storm in 2019!

Who will emerge in this rematch from the 2018 World Tag League?

Katsuyori Shibata To Appear At Texas ROH Events

NJPW Icon, Katsuyori Shibata is set to appear at all three Texas Ring of Honor events. Shibata is a huge force at the New Japan Dojo in LA and was one of the major names in the NJPW scene before his career was cut short due to injury.

Ring of Honor released the following on his appearances:

It is with great excitement that ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling can announce that the legendary Katsuyori Shibata will be appearing on all three nights of the Texas Road to G1 Supercard Tour to sign autographs and take photos with fans as part of the pre-event Meet and Greets!

Shibata broke into New Japan alongside former IWGP Heavyweight Champions Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura and was among the very best professional wrestlers in the world for nearly two decades, from his first through his last match, when he challenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis 2017.

Shibata’s career is filled with gold, including three wins of the NEVER Openweight Championship, winning the World Tag League with Hirooki Goto in 2014, and the New Japan Cup in 2017. Additionally, Shibata has been seen in ROH rings, wrestling memorable bouts against Silas Young, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish.

These days, Shibata has assumed the role of Head Coach at the New Japan Dojo in Los Angeles, providing his near two decades of experience to the first group of American Young Lions at the new Dojo.

There is nothing like seeing the hard-hitting, in-your-face action of ROH live! Don’t miss your chance to see ROH LIVE and meet Katsuyori Shibata when the Road to G1 Supercard starts in Texas this January!
