In Las Vegas, a hometown hero returns, looking for his first taste of singles gold in a bout against perhaps the only international star who has been on more of a roll than he in a must-see rematch!

ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION KUSHIDA vs. KENNY KING
After suffering one of the quickest defeats of his career at the hands of Hiromu Takahashi, KUSHIDA petitioned New Japan and Ring of Honor officials to be added to May’s War of the Worlds Tour to try to right the ship.
A trip to North America was just what the doctor ordered.
KUSHIDA defeated former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal in Toronto on night one of the tour before concluding the tour with a win over ROH World Television Champion “The Villain” Marty Scurll to capture the title! With World Television Championship in hand, KUSHIDA shook off jetlag and exhaustion to win five win-or-go-home matches to win his second out of three Best of Super Juniors tournament before avenging his loss to Takahashi, capturing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship!
KUSHIDA arrived in Concord, NC the ROH World TV Champion ready to defend against a man on a similar hot streak. Kenny King recorded the most eliminations at Gateway to the Gold before winning a World Television Title shot in a Four Corners Survival Match in the main event of a recent episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling. “The Pretty Boy Pitbull” and “The Timesplitter” were engaged in an instant classic before Bullet Club reared their ugly heads into a match for the only championship they did not possess.
KUSHIDA and King formed a spontaneous alliance, defeating Adam Page and Scurll before shaking hands and agreeing that the rematch would occur down the line. Both men would have standout War of the Worlds – UK Tours, King defeating Page in a singles bout and Josh Bodom and Colt Cabana in a triple threat while KUSHIDA returned to Japan still TV champ after beating Titan in an instant classic in London before winning a Four Corner Survival Match against Dalton Castle, Scurll, and Takahashi!
With KUSHIDA a man of his word and King continuing to pick up big wins, the Las Vegas native Kenny King gets his opportunity to pick up his first ROH singles championship in front of friends, family, and a worldwide Pay Per View audience at Death Before Dishonor!
