Ring of Honor World Television Champion Nick Wayne has big plans for his reign, as he plans on holding the gold longer than anybody else.
On a recent edition of the “Close Up with Renee Paquette” podcast, Wayne discussed his title reign so far and his lofty goal. He said,
“To win it so young, I believe the youngest to win the title is another just huge honor to me. I want to hold it for as long as I can, maybe become the longest reigning. I know it’s a long time that I have to beat.”
Samoa Joe holds the record for the longest reign with the gold, as he held the title from April 2022 to December 2023 for a total of 574 days.
Wayne recently passed 30 days with the title. To break Joe’s record, he will need to keep the title until Friday, November 13, 2026.
