Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has said that should he face The Rock, the match will have to be “pretty special.”
A match between the two relatives has been rumored for WrestleMania 39, especially as The Rock has kept his Hollywood schedule clear for the first quarter of 2023.
During an interview with the ‘Sports Illustrated Media‘ podcast, Reigns addressed the potential match-up.
“Update is Dwayne is dropping it with his own projects. It’s got to be pretty good, it’s got to be pretty special.
“I think that just goes to show the clammer, the buzz for it, the chatter for it, the wishful thinking.”
Reigns’ next title defense will come next weekend when he defends against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle.
WWE WrestleMania 39 will take place from April 1 to April 2 in Hollywood, California.
