Just last week on Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns delivered a heartfelt message where he revealed his 11-year battle with Leukemia and announced his relinquishment of the Universal Title. The message brought tears to the eyes of even the biggest Roman critics (me), and made everyone feel lucky to have their health intact. Fortunately, WWE is making sure that fans don’t forget about Roman during his hiatus as he is scheduled for his first public appearance since leaving the company.
In Arizona on January 11-13, Reigns will appear at the ACE Comic convention alongside Alexa Bliss, Lilian Garcia and Charlotte Flair.
Hopefully by that time we’ll also have an update on Roman Reigns so we know how his treatment is going and how far along he is at being cancer once again.
Secondly, one of the more fascinating stories I’ve heard in awhile, Rey Mysterio is on the Chris Jericho Rock n Wrestling cruise, but WWE apparently told him he wasn’t allowed to go.
As seen above, Mysterio is pictured with Konnan and John Hennigan, however, most notably he is not wearing his mask which WWE is also against. Although Mysterio hasn’t been booked on any shows this weekend, Dave Meltzer reports that WWE management were against Rey Mysterio going because the wrestling show on the cruise is technically a ROH and Impact Wrestling show.
Mysterio reportedly RSVP’d “Yes” to the Jericho cruise before he returned to WWE. His part in the wrestling show is a non-wrestling role anyway, but I’m curious to see if Mysterio faces repercussions for going against WWE’s wishes.
