It looks like Ronda Rousey’s time with WWE might be coming to a close. On a full-time basis at the very least. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that there’s a “very good chance that Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with WWE at WrestleMania.” It’s believed this is because Rousey and her husband, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, plan on starting a family soon.
Meltzer also noted that it’s possible WWE makes Rousey such a good offer that they maintain her in a role very similar to Brock Lesnar. Regardless, Rousey wants to remain affiliated with WWE one way or the other. Rousey currently reigns as the RAW Women’s Champion. She’s expected to face Becky Lynch and/or Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35.
Rousey will likely put over Lynch or Flair before she leaves, in what’s expected to be the first women’s match to main event a WrestleMania in the history of WWE.
