During a recent UFC 175 media appearance, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey spoke about some WWE-related topics, including rumors that she will be appearing for the company, possibly at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
The female UFC standout compared WWE to some recent film work she has taken part in, including a significant role in the new “Entourage” film. Rousey said, “I really think of WWE as like the purest form of stunts, kind of like in movies they say the purest form of acting is theater because it’s live and it’s all in one shot.”
Rousey continued, “I feel like WWE is the same thing for stunt work. I just kind of try to borrow from them a little bit and maybe I can steal some of their stunt work and throw it in a movie.”
Regarding the possibility of a future appearance in WWE, the UFC champ said, “If an opportunity comes up to show up and be a guest host or whatever, that would be pretty cool.”
As far as actually stepping into a professional wrestling ring, Rousey noted that she has to get past her next UFC challenge first, which is a title defense against top-ranked Alexis Davis this Saturday at UFC 175. “I don’t know (about one match), I gotta beat Alexis (Davis), let’s just get through that,” said Rousey.
Rousey also spoke in-depth about CM Punk walking out on WWE and the chances of him returning to the company at some point in the future. You can check out those comments in more by checking out the following eFightNews.com article, Ronda Rousey Talks Possible WWE Appearance, CM Punk/WWE Situation.
