According to multiple reports, there was an “incident” between Arn Anderson and Vince McMahon and that is what led to his release from WWE last Friday. Anderson had been with the company for eighteen years as a road agent and producer for the company. Arn was legitimately fired from the company and it was not due to any “retirement” or WWE’s recent hirings of new agents/producers (Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, Sonjay Dutt, Steve Corino, and Shane “Hurricane” Helms). Dave Meltzer also claims that Arn was fired after an incident over a WWE live event (house show) with Vince McMahon. While details are sketchy, Meltzer said,

“Arn got fired. It’s an incident. I mean everyone is pretty much keeping quiet about what it was, but it was an incident with Vince. I know people who are siding with Arn. I know people who are siding with Vince. I don’t know the whole details of the incident other than it was something at a house show that evidently wasn’t handled well and Arn took the blame for that. Arn and Vince were not really on the best of terms. There had been a lot of situations over the years and another one not too long ago. You know the thing with Arn is he’s well-liked by key people … Triple H, John Cena, you know he’s John Cena’s agent.“

There are some people within the company that are hoping the incident is one where both sides need time to “cool off” and let things blow over and then Arn may be back. Anderson is very well-liked backstage among the talent but the issue deals solely between Arn and Vince according to sources.
