There were some rumors that Hulk Hogan was backstage at the WWE SmackDown TV tapings as Horace Hogan and Brian Knobbs attended Tuesday’s TV tapings in Tampa, Florida. That is not the case as Hogan wasn’t there with them.
As reported earlier here on eWrestlingNews.com, rapper Wale was backstage at Sunday night’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The rapper spoke to TMZ and confirmed he’s back on good terms with WWE after being “blackballed” for almost two years after punching a fan in the face in 2014 at a RAW in Washington, DC. WWE claims there was never an official ban.
Wale said: “I actually want to work there and I don’t know if [Vince and Triple H] heard about good Wale or bad Wale. Or if they even know what a Wale is.”
