Back in May, it was reported that TNT has done a lot of analytics and is said to be “very close” to deciding the official day for AEW’s weekly TV series. It was added that announcements for TV deals in the UK and Canada would be made once TNT officially announces its date.
As of this writing, it’s still down to either Tuesday or Wednesday with the network is leaning strongly toward Wednesday as it would have the fewest preemptions due to them airing NBA games on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
That latest update comes from Dave Meltzer who reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the most likely start date for AEW’s weekly TV series is October 2. The series would air on Wednesday nights from 8-10 PM ET. The date of 10/2 has been popping up in AEW digital videos.
