Ryo Mizunami Released From Hospital, Joshi Shows Cancelled, More

Ryo Mizunami has announced she has been released from hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Mizunami had started to develop pneumonia, as well as a fever which led to her being hospitalized in the first place. Now though, she has taken to her Twitter account to reveal she has been able to return home. Ryo Mizunami also thanked her fans saying “I’m sorry to worry you all. And thank you for all the messages of encouragement.”

In other news from Japan, PWInsider has reported that Kyoko Inoue who is the founder and current champion of Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana, has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of this, all of the companies August shows have been cancelled. Meanwhile, other Joshi promotions including Marvelous and Sendai Girls have also had to cancel shows in August. This has stemmed from the recent rise in COVID-19 infections in Japan.
