As seen at the NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver (Night Two) event, Santos Escobar defeated Jordan Devlin in a Ladder Match to become the undisputed WWE NXT Cruiserweight champion. Following the match, WWE Hall of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman took to Twitter to congratulate him. Escobar responded to Waltman’s tweet, saying he’d like to face him in a match if he ever decides to return. Escobar said,
“Please allow me to share the squared circle with you should you decide to have #OneMoreMatch.”
Waltman then responded with the following,
“I made the decision before I had knee surgery. Let’s have a conversation when my Dr clears me to wrestle.”
