We have an update on Sasha Banks’ status with WWE. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Banks’ situation with the company remains “unchanged.” Meltzer described the two sides as being at a “stalemate” for the moment.
It was noted that Banks would be allowed to sit out her contract, however, Meltzer brought up that she’ll be sitting out for quite a long time, as WWE will likely add time for not working. WWE reportedly still wants Banks back, but “The Legit Boss” wants things to be different. Whatever that difference is remains unknown, but they have yet to agree on it.
Banks has not been announced for the upcoming Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV). Her falling out with WWE occurred after WrestleMania 35. She and Bayley won the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at the Elimination Chamber PPV.
However, they dropped the straps to The IIconics in a multi-team match at “The Show Of Shows.” Banks and Bayley reportedly threw a tantrum over the booking after the show, resulting in Banks being given some time off after trying to quit.
