WWE Hall of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman took to Twitter to give his thoughts on his best friend, Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon), who tragically passed away on Monday at the age of 63 due to suffering multiple heart attacks following a routine hip surgery. Waltman said the pandemic, in addition to Hall’s “demons” (drinking habits), played a huge factor in Hall’s health spiraling downhill.

Waltman said: “The pandemic did him in. It was hard enough for him as it was, but he was isolated in his house with no social interaction. He was down to 210 pounds. We called Dally (Dallas Page) and he went over. It was really bad.

Hall suffered a bad fall, breaking his hip, and was found laying on the ground in his home for a few days. Friends were concerned for his well-being and had called DDP to go check on him. Upon doing so, he discovered Hall and took him to the hospital.

It’s been said that his health was declining, as he appeared to be in bad shape over the last two years. Hall was said to have passed out in a bar the night before last year’s WrestleMania 37 but pretended to be okay when he was on stage for the Hall of Fame ceremony as the nWo (Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash & Sean “Syxx” Waltman) were entering the 2020 wing.

Additionally, Scott Hall was not taking many bookings and was said to be staying with his son Cody at times. He continued to battle his demons on and on in what was said to be a vicious cycle until Kevin Nash would intervene and get him refocused. During this time, he would go to Team Vision Dojo and teach there, while also hanging out with Larry Zbyszko, Chasyn Rance, and Jared Saint-Lauren (MLW’s MSL).

Saint-Lauren said: “I lived down the road from him. We got in the habit for a few years of hanging out every day. He was living alone in that big mansion and wasn’t really seeing his family. So we ended up in a routine of going to the gym together every day, getting lunch, and just kind of bullsh*tting unless I had an indy booking to go to. Scott was a very complicated guy I think. I met him at a point in his life where he just didn’t care about himself anymore, but he still loved the business so much and really just loved helping others succeed.
