Seth Rollins had some nasty things to say about his rival’s big win at the ESPY Awards.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE earlier this year after serving as Executive Vice President for AEW. Rhodes returned at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas and began a feud with former WWE Champion Seth Rollins. The two would continue their feud into Hell in a Cell, where Rhodes would defeat Rollins for the third straight time.

The American Nightmare’s return earned him the Best WWE Moment at the ESPY Awards this week. Although fans rejoiced at Rhodes’ accomplishment, Rollins took a dig at his rival’s big win and called out ESPN on Twitter for not acknowledging him. He wrote,

“Truly…screw this guy. Screw ESPN. Screw WWE. And screw you scumbags out there who continue to overlook me, discredit me, and undermine me.

None of this exists without me.

For those of you who have my back, I hear you singing my song every night.”

“I didn’t have a last name to get my foot in the door.

I don’t pack it in and go home when things get tough.

I don’t take more than I give.

I’m not a chosen one.

I shoulder the f’n load every single time. Make everyone around me better. Overdeliver on the regular.”

Prior to his match at Hell in a Cell, Rhodes suffered a torn right pectoral tendon. Despite the injury, the American Nightmare wrestled the whole match and came out victorious. It was reported afterward that Rhodes would miss nine months of action due to the injury.
