Shane McMahon’s return to WWE may have been brief, but the prodigal son certainly made his money with the promotion in 2022.

McMahon returned to WWE TV at the 2022 Royal Rumble as part of the Men’s Rumble match but was fired by the promotion days later.

Shane was reportedly incredibly difficult to work with backstage at the Rumble, and despite being on the booking team for the match, was reportedly only focused on getting good spots for himself.

According to SEC filings filed this week, McMahon received “an aggregate of approximately $828,000” in connection with being kept on by the company as an “independent contractor performer.”

This is more than McMahon made from WWE in 2020 ($820,369), but significantly less than he did in 2021 ($1,313,823).

McMahon did not wrestle for WWE in 2020 but did compete in a steel cage match against Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 37 in 2021.
