WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently spoke with the New York Post to comment on a variety of professional wrestling related topics, including how his fellow DX stablemate Joanie “Chyna” Laurer would have fared if she were still alive today and was working in the current era of WWE.
According to the “Heartbreak Kid” himself, Chyna would have “clearly fit in” and been “phenomenal” in today’s era. He said,
“From a performer standpoint she would clearly fit in and be phenomenal. I think what makes her the awe-inspiring, innovative and transforming woman that she was was that she did it earlier than all of them. It would be a bit more commonplace today. She would certainly have an incredible career — but I don’t know that she’d be the trail blazer today that she is if she were currently doing it today.”
