Shawn Spears Says Tyler Breeze Has Retired From Wrestling

Former WWE Superstar and current WWE Performance Center coach Tyler Breeze is retired from in-ring competition, according to AEW’s Shawn Spears.

Breeze, a former NXT Tag Team Champion, was released from WWE in 2021 after over a decade with the company.

Last month, Breeze appeared on WWE’s ‘The Bump’ to announce that he is now working as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

During a recent appearance on “The Sessions with Renee Paquette” podcast, Spears said how Breeze considers himself retired from wrestling. He said,

“There will be times we’ll hop in the ring and have 20, 25 minutes. We just did that a couple of weeks ago with the Gunns, just at the school to get some cardio in. He can still go, he still does everything.

“But I say to him, ‘Hey man, getting ready for a second run?’ He goes ‘Nah, [I’m] retired.’ That’s the true answer. But I see the excitement sometimes when he hops in.”

During his time under contract, Breeze was also FCW Heavyweight Champion and FCW Tag Champion with Leakee, today known as Roman Reigns.
