Former Intercontinental Champion and Money in the Bank staple Shelton Benjamin returned to in-ring action last night on WWE Main Event.
According to Cagematch, Benjamin defeated Akira Tozawa at the tapings before last night’s episode of RAW. Benjamin has been out of action since May for an undisclosed injury. Remarkably, this was Benjamin’s second only injury in his entire WWE career.
Benjamin was a staple of the Money in the Bank ladder match, having competed in the inaugural one in 2005. Before getting booted out by Bobby Lashley, he was part of the MVP-led faction, The Hurt Business.
