During the most recent airing of WWE Main Event, It was announced that Asuka would battle Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. A bit of a peculiar announcement because this past week, it was heavily stressed that automatic rematches would be a thing of the past.
Also, this may keep ‘The Man’ out of the Royal Rumble Match itself, which could rule out her involvement in any match with Ronda Rousey. While nothing is a given, it certainly will be interesting to see what happens next.
