WWE Superstar Sonya Deville was arrested for gun possession on February 19 in Atlantic City, New Jersey after police found a firearm in her vehicle that didn’t have a proper New Jersey permit.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the valet discovered the weapon in her car’s glove box and called the cops. Deville was arrested a short time later and the court records show that she was charged with one count of unlawful weapon possession.
Deville got the weapon for personal protection after a man allegedly attempted to kidnap her in 2020 during a home break-in in Florida. The gun is legally registered in Florida, but not in New Jersey.
Fightful is reporting that there is no heat on Deville in WWE for the arrest, as they understand why she would want to protect herself following the stalker incident.
Sources indicated that Sonya was celebrating with her fiancee, and the gun was in their vehicle as it was being valeted.
