Former Ring of Honor World Champion Roderick Strong made his NXT debut at Thursday’s NXT TV tapings in Winter Park, FL. Strong teamed up with Austin Aries to face Niko Bogojevic and Tucker Knight in a first round Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match.

Aries and Strong have history together as they were part of the Generation Next faction in Ring of Honor. They also held the ROH Tag Team Titles together. Strong departed from ROH in June.
The finals of the tournament will be held at the NXT TakeOver special on Survivor Series weekend.
