– Triple H walks out with the NXT Title. HHH tells us how special we are to him, NXT is something special. He was going to come out tonight to announce Ciampa vs Gargano for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover, but that can’t happen anymore. When one dream ends, another one begins. Johnny Gargano will compete for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover. He will face the winner of a 5 way with Ricochet vs Adam Cole vs Aleister Black vs Velveteen Dream vs Matt Riddle. The main event of NXT Takeover will also be 2 out of 3 falls to make sure there is decisive winner.
– #1 Contender Match: Adam Cole defeated Ricochet, Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream, and Matt Riddle. After the match, The Forgotten Sons attack Ricochet & Black.
– Singles Match: Punishment Martinez defeats Riddick Moss
– Singles Match: Humberto Carrillo defeats Albert Hardie Jr
