At the culmination of last night’s edition of SmackDown, Theodore Long told the World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan that he would defend his title in a Triple Threat steel cage match at the Royal Rumble PPV. His opponents will be the 2 most recent former champions, Mark Henry and Big Show.
Elsewhere, CM Punk defends his title against Dolph Ziggler with John Laurinaitis as the special guest referee. Vickie and Jack Swagger are notably banned from ringside for the match. Also, John Cena takes on Kane in a grudge match at the PPV.
The main event of course is the 30-man Royal Rumble itself.
