AEW wrestler Sting has said that a match with The Undertaker was never a genuine possibility during the Deadman’s lengthy career.
For years, fans speculated about a possible match between the two legends, which did not happen after Sting joined WWE in 2014.
In an article from D Magazine, it is reported that the Icon wanted a match with the Phenom as the big send-off to his career immediately after his contract with Impact expired in January 2014.
By the time that the two parties were talking, The Undertaker’s match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 had already been decided.
“It was never going to happen,” Sting said of the Undertaker match. “Never.”
Instead of The Undertaker, Sting’s first of four matches with WWE would see him lose to Triple H at WrestleMania 31.
