As announced on this week’s Genesis-themed edition of TNA iMPACT!, the following matches are confirmed for next week’s Genesis “part two”:
TNA X-Division Championship:
Velvet Sky will be outside the ring hanging from a smaller cage.
Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries
Cage Match:
Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode
James Storm vs. Gunner
Gunner’s briefcase will be on the line.
Title vs. Contract Match:
If Sting loses, he leaves TNA for good.
Sting vs. Magnus
NOTE: The Sting vs. Magnus match stipulation is very interesting as Sting’s TNA contract is expiring shortly and he had not signed a new deal as of late Wednesday night. We also noted on Thursday that WWE is currently in talks with the Stinger. Sting has admitted to having talks with WWE in the past and has said they have been close to signing a deal once or twice. As with any other year when these reports start up, it’s best to treat them as nothing more than rumors for now but the stipulation is very interesting. You can clearly see what they are doing – “stay with us and we’ll give you a title reign.” We’ll have more on this shortly.
