During Wednesday night’s Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite, Sting revealed why he signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
While doing an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone, Sting revealed that he’s come full circle and was glad to be a part of the “original jungle” and is happy to see that it’s still around. He also praised “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, revealing that he was the person who gave him his big break when he faced Ric Flair in WCW. He said that after seeing his son, Cody Rhodes, he just couldn’t stay away.
That’s when Taz’s stable came out and cut a promo on Sting, saying they could care less why he’s here. The lights went out and when they came back on, Darby Allin was standing in the ring with Sting. Team Taz eventually backed off.
