Rick Ross showed up on the December 21, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite to facilitate a discussion between Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. The rapper quickly revealed his true colors by helping his new faction, The Mogul Affiliates, launch an all-out assault on Lee. The heel stable comprising of Swerve Strickland, Parker Boudreaux, Granden Goetzman, and Ross issued a warning to the AEW locker room later on.
Appearing on The Cruz Show, Strickland discussed Ross’ involvement in AEW storylines. He said,
“He’s fully invested in what we’re doing. It’s a true…him coming in and showing his passion for what we do, for who I am, Swerve the brand, he’s really promoting and he’s passionate about us and passionate about AEW in general.”
It’s currently unknown when Ross will return to AEW programming.
