ROH issued the following:
Ring of Honor fans have seen what looks like a different side of Kenny King in recent weeks. King has defeated Marty Scurll, Adam Page, and Jushin Liger and in each match, King has taken full advantage of opportunities that presented themselves.
While in some cases, King may not have outright cheated, King has taken the words of former two-time ROH World Champion Austin Aries to heart, taking advantage of every small opportunity to bend the rules and use every tool available to win bouts.
These wins have put King increasingly closer to his end goal, winning the ROH World Championship. And the wins have not yet changed the company he keeps. Flip Gordon, recovering after Death Before Dishonor’s table match, has always been friendly with King. Both want to compete and asked ROH matchmakers to wrestle in Baltimore. They get a team chomping at the bit to demonstrate their own worth after their attack on the World Champion Jay Lethal following Death Before Dishonor’s Main Event!
KENNY KING & FLIP GORDON vs. THE KINGDOM (TK O’RYAN & VINNY MARSEGLIA)
Kenny King and Flip Gordon will get the first match against The Kingdom since their vicious attack on Jay Lethal! O’Ryan and Marseglia are looking to continue to make headline news and have an opportunity to do so against two of the top stars in ROH.
King and Gordon, teaming for the first time, will look to make a statement against two men whose actions clearly have placed a target on their backs following Death Before Dishonor!
