The TAKATaichiMania series will return with its third event on January 10th at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall. For the occasion, NJPW announced that the show will be broadcasted live on NJPW World, making it easier to watch.
TAKATaichiMania is a big independent show produced by TAKA Michinoku and Taichi of Suzuki-gun. The two were a tag team for years and started producing independent events due to being freelancers, even if Taichi later signed a deal with NJPW. Their shows usually feature rare appearances from NJPW wrestlers, with the previous editions of TAKATAichiMania seeing the likes of Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi in the ring.
The event will be held two days after Wrestle Kingdom 16 in Yokohama, which is also a sign that the yearly post-Wrestle Kingdom event “New Year’s Dash” has been cancelled from the schedule.
TAKATaichiMania is not a NJPW show, but this time more than ever it can be considered as such and it will have backup and promotion from the company for the first time ever.
