As previously reported here on eWN, Dwayne Johnson will be debuting his “Rock The Promo” show on his Youtube channel. The idea of the show features fans sending in wrestling-style promos with wrestling personalities judging them. There will be a 32-person bracket competition. Taz has been doing the same thing since the beginning of his CBS Radio series “The Taz Show”, with callers providing “Wednesday Hump Day” promos that Taz would judge.
Once Taz learned of The Rock’s idea, he wasn’t happy and tweeted the following:
My bro @TheRock straight up gimmick infringement on a weekly series i been doing for a YEAR on my show. #TheTazShow https://t.co/7J96pscolG

Been doing #humpdaypromos for ONE YEAR on #TheTazShow rules NEVER changed (45 sec promo). We all worked hard, now @TheRock doing it. Wow.

The Rock responded with the following:
@OfficialTAZ Bro just seeing this. Surprised to see all your tweets when you could’ve just reached out personally and we rap about it.

@OfficialTAZ I had no idea you even had a radio show my man. Our show is just for the fans to have fun. No heat. This is silly. I’ll text U

It continued from there, with Taz not letting it go.
Or, just proud/protective of my content. I have no “beef” with @TheRock but u should do your homework. #TheTazShow https://t.co/J1lHUzU9Pl
