CM Punk was a special guest commentator for the majority of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite broadcast up until he was confronted by Team Taz.
After exchanging some words and being lured out by Hook, Punk was jumped from behind by Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs and Hook proceeded to assault Punk, which ended with Hobbs delivering a devastating chokeslam to Punk on the announce table. Punk was left laying on the floor as AEW’s medical staff checked on him. Later in the show, we would learn that CM Punk will challenge Powerhouse Hobbs on AEW Rampage next week.

After Darby Allin picked up a victory over Shawn Spears on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, FTR and Spears got into a post-match brawl with Allin and Sting, ending with the trio wiping the face paint off of Sting and Darby Allin.
