During a recent interview with Wrestling Inc, former SmackDown General Manager and Hall of Famer Teddy Long revealed that he didn’t receive an invitation to The Undertaker’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony. ‘Taker was inducted during WrestleMania weekend earlier this year in Dallas, Texas. Despite not receiving a formal invitation, Long feels no ill-will towards what happened. He said,

“I’m just saying to you, like I said, didn’t bother me. I don’t care. Because I know this business and I know that there are people that didn’t want me there, and know who those people are. So, I’m just saying to you, how do you miss that?”

“Yeah, but I didn’t feel right. You know what I mean? I just didn’t feel right doing that. I didn’t want to look like I’m sucking up to Undertaker.”

Teddy Long used to manage The Undertaker in WCW back when ‘Taker was called “Mean” Mark Callous. During his run as General Manager on SmackDown, one of Long’s famous catchphrases featured him telling wrestlers on the brand that they would “go one-on-one with The Undertaker.”
