It seems the controversy surrounding Tessa Blanchard isn’t slowing down. A new report alleges she had attitude issues during the first two seasons of WOW Women of Wrestling. Fightful reports that some within WOW claimed Blanchard was argumentative and would berate people; including an incident where she made one of the company’s trainers cry in front of the training team. According to the report, a WOW roster member (who asked to stay anonymous), said they have been asked by David McClane not to discuss the matter. They said that Blanchard would berate WOW trainers and told one she didn’t belong on the training team. This resulted in the upset trainer being reduced to tears.

When someone tried speaking to Blanchard, she said it was being blown out of proportion and didn’t want to discuss it further. The site also says she had a verbal confrontation with another top name in front of others in the company. This followed weeks of tension, and there was a “fairly public shouting match” between Blanchard and Malia Hosaka; resulting in Hosaka being reprimanded while Blanchard wasn’t. Some members of the roster felt that wasn’t fair to Hosaka. Tessa reportedly began getting more power in the company and required certain things be approved by her. As she became the face of the company and head trainer in season two, this ramped up heavily. Several members of the roster also believed they’d lose their pushes once Blanchard showed up and instituted changes.
Several people within Impact Wrestling have said since Blanchard joined the company, any perceived attitude issues had gone away. She recently came under fire for allegedly using a racial slur against La Rosa Negra during an altercation in Japan in 2017. Although it was reported she had made up with La Rosa, Allysin Kay reacted to Tessa Blanchard’s follow-up statement by calling her a ‘liar and a scumbag‘. Blanchard has yet to respond to this report or Allysin Kay’s reaction.
