The 2022 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners were crowned on this week’s episode of WWE NXT 2.0.
In the main event of the show, Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray defeated Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo to win the women’s tournament.
While the winners of the tournament usually go on to face the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, that won’t be happening this year. The show ended with Shirai and Ray revealing that they’d be cashing in their opportunity to get entered into the NXT Women’s Championship match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
While not confirmed, it appears we’ll be seeing a Fatal Four-Way Match featuring Mandy Rose defending her title against Ray, Shrai, and Cora Jade.
