Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, better known as The Acclaimed, have a new name now – AEW Tag Team Champions. The Acclaimed knocked off Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland) to capture the tag team titles.
Both Bowens and Caster took to Twitter to react to their accomplishment, with Bowens writing, “When my Nana passed in 2015 I promised her I’d be a success. Nana, I made it! AEW’s first Gay Champion. Most tag team wins in AEW. Most popular team in wrestling. EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED.. your #ForeverChamps.”
Caster would go on to add, “YO! LISTEN! The Acclaimed are YOUR @AEW world champions. The People’s Choice. Winningest team. Best homegrown team. We are the New Legends.”
