During Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite main event, which featured TNT Champion Darby Allin defending the title against The Dark Order’s John Silver, Silver apparently suffered a dislocated shoulder. The injury occurred after Silver dove over the barricade and landed awkwardly on his shoulder.
Darby would go on to defeat Silver with a “Code Red” for the pinfall and the victory. Both men would exchange a fist bump out of respect before being attacked by Matt Hardy and his followers.
After Dynamite went off the air, Sting grabbed a microphone and congratulated Darby on his victory, while also emphasizing matches like that are the reason why AEW “is the place to be.”
Darby would take the mic and reply with:
“I don’t think anybody here knows, but I’m pretty sure you dislocated your shoulder about halfway through that match. But g*ddamn, did you put everything into it! And I’m down to do it anytime again. Thank you, John. Thank you.”
