We finally have somewhat of an update on when Roman Reigns vs. Riddle could happen, if it still happens.
It was initially reported that Riddle would be the one to challenge Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Money in the Bank. Since then, there have been conflicting reports of Reigns’ current schedule. Now, it appears that if Reigns and Riddle does take place, it will take place on television.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Reigns being pulled from Money in the Bank means Riddle would have to challenge him for his championship on either SmackDown or RAW. Reigns being pulled was possibly due to WWE changing venues for the show. There’s also no word on whether this means Riddle will be without a match for Money in the Bank or if he’ll end up in the ladder match.
Reigns has been rumored for a lighter schedule since the promo he cut during a WWE live event. What fans didn’t expect was that the lighter schedule meant missing smaller PPVs. If fans see Reigns again on PPV, it’ll probably be at SummerSlam.
